First post of the season!  Well, I am starting to get settled in here; I have yet to unpack everything that I brought.  Wow, I feel like I brought a lot of stuff!  Why do I need all this stuff? I have no idea. I took my sister back to the airport today.  Rather, I should say that a really wonderful friend of mine drove her to the airport, and I tagged along.  We have had a lovely past few days together, though!  I wish she could have spent more time here. On our way back from the airport, it started POURING. The rain has since subsided, but I hope the water hasn't done any damage to the garden. I would like to get workin' out there soon, Mother Nature! Jessica (the other full-season intern) and Susan (my internship supervisor and co-starter of The Lord's Acre) worked in the garden this morning; Jessica said it was wet, but they were able to thin the beets and carrots out a bit.  I hope we can get in there tomorrow, but if this rain keeps up, we'll see.
